MAN OF STEEL:
THE UNTOLD SAGA

The Epic Tale of an Ordinary Civilian Forged into Steel

Author: Gaurab Burman | Protagonist: A 45-Year-Old Warrior

Chapter 1: The Spark Beneath the Ash

Date: February 15, 2024 | Location: Rajasthan

The story didn’t begin on a grand stage, but on the cold floor of a bathroom with a weighing scale. The dial stopped at 104.15 kg, and it felt like my breath stopped right there. I looked at myself in the mirror. 44 years old. A heavy body, a swollen face, and a strange fatigue in my eyes. To the world, I was just an ordinary civilian working in the Cement Industry, but that day, I realized I was carrying the dead weight of my broken dreams.

That day, I made a decision: “No more.”

But here was the twist. I didn’t get a membership at a fancy, air-conditioned gym. I chose not to be part of the crowd. I chose my building’s terrace. I decided my sweat wouldn’t flow on a machine, but under the open sky. Until April 2024, I just walked. Not fast, just consistently. This was a long game.

Chapter 2: The Kiln Master & Industrial Guru

Every warrior needs a guide to show them the right direction. In my story, that guide came in the form of my ‘Industrial Guru’. A ‘Kiln Expert’ with 30 years of experience. He taught me how to control the extreme temperature and pressure of a plant’s kiln. When he casually mentioned “Life and Systems” in our conversations, the structure inside me that was dying to break out suddenly awakened. That industrial vision of his laid the solid foundation for the dream of ‘Rucking India’.

Chapter 3: Rucking – The Mobile Gym

Now I had a target. People go to the gym, to machines filled with iron. I made ‘Rucking’ my gym. I started loading weight onto my back. The road was my treadmill, and the bag on my back was my dumbbell. People called me crazy, but I had realized that true strength isn’t found within the four walls of a gym, but in walking against gravity. This weight wasn’t just on my back; it turned my bones to stone and my core to iron.

Chapter 4: The Mountain of Weight

People think I just picked up a bag one day and started walking. They don’t know my “turtle strategy.” First, I built the habit of walking 10 kilometers. Once my body adapted to that, I started putting weight on my back. It started with just 6 kg. But then, a madness took over. I started increasing the weight—like climbing a ladder: 6, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 25, 32, 35, 39, 42, 45, 49… and finally 54 kg! I carried a mountain of 54 kg on my back. Then I optimized the weight: 52, 50, 45, 43, 41, 38, 36… And today? Today I have made 34 kg my ‘Gold Standard’. This 34 kg doesn’t feel like a weight anymore; it has become a part of my body.

Chapter 5: The Trial of Elements

This journey didn’t start and end in pleasant weather. Over the past two years, Rajasthan threw every weapon it had at me, but my discipline remained unbroken.

  • Fire (48°C): When fire was raining from the sky and the temperature hit 48 degrees, I didn’t stop. It wasn’t sweat, it was like water flowing from my body, but I didn’t see it as a weakness; I considered it the offering of my penance.
  • Water (The Monsoon): And then the rain came. When people run to hide at the first drop of rain, I stood my ground on my terrace in a torrential downpour. My clothes got heavy and soaked, my shoes filled with water, but my steps didn’t falter. The rain could soak my body, but it couldn’t extinguish the fire burning inside me.
  • Ice (3°C): And then when the mercury dropped to 3 degrees, a bone-chilling cold, my rucking still continued.

Chapter 6: The “Madman” & The Silent Answer

While I was doing all this, the world wasn’t quiet. People would watch me walk by and say— “He’s gone mad.” There were questions and taunts in their eyes. There were hushed whispers— “He can’t get any work done, he just keeps doing this.” The noise of negativity was loud, but I didn’t stop. I didn’t turn around to answer. I quietly unleashed my inner ‘Evil’ (obsession) and threw it onto the streets. I turned my body’s Fat and Time into my greatest weapons. Today, I cover a distance of 10 kilometers with a 34 kg weight at a pace of 9.10 minutes/kilometer. My silence has created a roar today.

Chapter 7: The Elixir and Chemistry

If my terrace gym was my temple, my kitchen became my laboratory. For the past several months, my rules have been carved in stone.

  • Preparing for Battle: The morning starts with Caffeine and L-Theanine, which made my mind laser-sharp.
  • Ancient Power: Ashwagandha (KSM-66) and Shilajit awakened that primal ‘Vitality’ inside me.
  • The Shield: L-Glutathione and ALA flushed every toxin out of my body.

Chapter 8: The Roof Arena

Just walking wasn’t enough; I had to deal with iron too. I built my own ‘Iron Temple’ on my building’s terrace.

  • The Anchor (Deadlift): I lifted 80 kg right there on the terrace and held it for 25-30 seconds.
  • Endurance (Hammer Curls): Under the open sky, I would hit 60-75 reps with a 7.5 kg dumbbell.
  • The Back Builder (Landmine Row): In a corner of the terrace, I forged a back as strong as iron with 45 kg.

Chapter 9: The Hybrid Protocol

Just rucking or just lifting weights wasn’t enough for me. So, I combined both to create my ‘Hybrid Training’ protocol—a 5-kilometer maze.

My 34 kg extra backpack (without any belt) is on my back at all times. I divided this 60-day physical mutation into two lethal phases: DAY A and DAY B.

  • DAY A (Core & Grip Focus): My first kilometer starts with a Stomach Vacuum and a hypoxic state. The second kilometer is speed rucking, the third is a 4 kg slow-motion ‘Tiger Claw’ curl loop, the fourth is active recovery, and the final 5th kilometer strikes with heavy 12.5 kg Hammer Curls and at least 3 Deadlifts.
  • DAY B (Structural Power Focus): This day challenges the body’s structural framework. Km 1 is rhythm rucking, Km 2 is a 7.5 kg ‘Suitcase Carry’ that breaks the core with an asymmetric load. The remaining kilometers are struck by the same brutal Tiger Claw loop and Hammer Curls combined with Deadlifts.

This isn’t just sweating; this is the science of advanced MET and afterburn (EPOC). I don’t just burn calories; I mutate my body.

Chapter 10: The ‘No Rest’ Oath

In November 2025, when I caught a severe cold, my body was burning with fever, and I was working continuous night shifts—even then, I didn’t stop. From November 25th, I erased the word ‘Rest’ from my dictionary. The shifts were 12 hours long, but my gym never closed. When the world was sleeping, I was shedding sweat on my terrace. I was terrified that a single day of rest would turn me back into that 104 kg man.

Chapter 11: Wisdom of the Industrial Guru

My Industrial Guru taught me how to run a massive plant and its complex systems relentlessly without fatigue. His mantra was— “Build a system that can withstand any pressure.” I didn’t limit this industrial wisdom just to the plant’s machinery. I applied that exact same bulletproof blueprint to build my ‘Rucking India’ Empire. I hid my master plan in my chest and silently started working on my operations.

Chapter 12: Rise of the Man of Steel

Date: December 12, 2025 | Weight: ~83 kg

Today, I am not that exhausted 104 kg man.

  • Face: What was once swollen is now sharp like a warrior’s. The jawline is like carved stone.
  • Body: The stomach is flat, and the vascularity maps out the proof of my hard work.

I am Gaurab Burman. A Bengali civilian. I didn’t sweat in a gym; I forged myself into steel on my own terms, on my terrace, and by carrying weight on my back.

(Author’s Note: This page is still open. The discipline continues, and the mutation hasn’t stopped yet…)

PART 2: THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA

Theme: Building the Empire

My physical transformation was just a trailer; the real game begins now. This journey wasn’t just about going from 104 kg to 74 kg then gained to 86 kg, “It’s about to build my Dream” by my own Evil Brain 🧠🏗️🔱.

  • Just as I built my gym on the terrace, brick by brick.
  • Just as I increased the weight on my back, kilo by kilo.
  • In the exact same way, I am now building my digital and global ‘Rucking India’ empire, brick by brick.

(End of Part 1. In Part 2, watch how a ‘Man of Steel’ creates his own world.)
